The International Aviation Academy of SriLankan Airlines has entered into a partnership with the Synergy School of Marketing, to provide opportunities for the airline’s staff to enhance their knowledge in the field of Marketing.
Staff of the National Carrier will receive discounts on Marketing courses at Synergy and access to Synergy’s wealth of information on the subject. The airline will in turn receive interns from among Synergy’s qualified students.
The agreement was signed at the airline’s corporate offices in Colombo’s World Trade Centre recently by Sanjeeva Jayatileke (Manager Human Resources Development of SriLankan) and Michael Ranasinghe (Managing Director of Synergy).
“The IAA has entered into strategic partnerships with a large number of selected global and local educational institutions, to further strengthen our curricula, and provide greater benefits to our students,” said Sanjeeva Jayatileke, Manager Human Resources Development of SriLankan.
The IAA has agreements with the Asian Institute of Technology, International Air Transport Association (IATA), City & Guilds, Edexcel International, the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the United Kingdom (CIMA-UK), and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA). The IAA is also providing training for member organizations of the Travel Agents’ Association of Sri Lanka, and the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators. Synergy was launched in 1999 and is a well-known institution of tertiary education, with accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing of the United Kingdom.
