About Sathkara

“Sathkara” meaning “Caring”, reflects the legendary warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality.

At SriLankan Airlines we strive to meet, and go beyond, our passengers' expectations by providing a comprehensive range of services. Having you, our passenger in mind, ‘Sathkara’ services has now been launched as an exclusive “meet and greet” service.

We offer an extensive range of services for arriving, departing and transfer passengers with connecting flights through the Bandaranaike International Airport. Passengers can further personalise their journey by indulging in our very special-value-additions including limousine services and flower deliveries. Corporate organisations whose employees are regular travellers with SriLankan Airlines can also take advantage of our range of ‘Sathkara’ services.

Available to serve you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our team of “Sathkara” staff are easily identifiable by the eye-catching “red sari” attire of Srilankan Airlines Airport Service.

Our friendly and efficient staff with their innate charm and warmth are ready to provide you with the best service there is to offer. Hospitality, which comes naturally to us, is further enhanced by professional training to understand and cater to the expectations of our equally diverse passengers.

It is our aim to not only meet but also exceed the needs of individuals, families, corporate business clients, tourists and VIP’s.

Range of Services
Our value added ‘Sathkara’ services include the following for a nominal fee of US$ 20.00 & for a group of 10 & above it's US$ 15.00 per passenger:

Assisting passengers with Special Requirements
Those passengers requiring particular assistance can call on the services of our special handling team of the Passenger Service Unit located for your convenience outside the Departure Terminal as well as in the Departure Lobby. A team who are specially trained to handle those with special needs, the elderly, wheelchair passengers, unaccompanied children and young passengers travelling on their own await you. While this is a complimentary service, a small fee may be charged at the airline’s discretion based on the exact requirement of the passenger.

Additional Information on ‘Sathkara’ Services:
In order to receive immediate confirmation of your Sathkara Service, it is mandatory that you book your service 24 hours in advance of your flight arrival / departure to / from Bandaranaike International Airport. Your booking will be subject to confirmation if it is done less than 24 hours in advance of your flight.
If you wish to make a cancellation / amendment to the booked Sathkara Service, the SriLankan Airlines Ticket Office / Travel Agent should be notified at least 8 hours prior to the flight arrival / departure to / from Bandaranayake International Airport. For this purpose you may e-mail us:

A cancellation fee applies only to limousine or floral bookings made through Sathkara Services.
